IS MY MAIL/PACKAGE READY FOR PICKUP?

SENDING MAIL

FORWARDING MAIL

All mail is delivered to campus five (5) days a week during the academic year, and four (4) days a week during summer sessions. Before being transferred to the residential mailroom, it is sorted.

There is no mail delivery to the College on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

Be mindful that although your letter or package may arrive on campus, it may not be ready for pick up until the following business day.

IS MY MAIL OR PACKAGE READY FOR PICK-UP?

Mail/packages are ready for pickup when students receive notification to their NC email and a text message from Housing & Residence Life confirming that the mail/package has been logged and processed.

All mail and packages that come to the Mailroom must be processed before residents can pick them up. This can take anywhere between 1-2 business days depending on the volume and day received.

Delivery confirmations from carriers (Amazon, UPS, USPS, etc.) do not indicate that the package is ready for pickup. If you have any questions about the status of your package, please email contact the mailroom.

IMPORTANT!

  • Residents are encouraged to pick-up mail/packages soon after they have been processed.
  • Mail/packages not picked up within 30 days will be returned to carriers.

SENDING MAIL OR PACKAGES

The Residence life/Housing Office or the Mailroom can send mail or packages as long as it is already stamped or labeled. The Mailroom does not sell any packing or packaging materials. Some of the items can be purchased through the College Bookstore which is located in the Albritton (boxes, tape, envelopes, etc.).

FORWARDING & RETURNING MAIL

The Mail & Package Center will only receive and log mail/packages for current on-campus residents.

Mail/packages received for anyone not living on campus will be returned to carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, etc.) and/or may be disposed at carrier discretion. Unfortunately, we cannot forward mail or packages to anyone no longer residing on campus. Residents who move off-campus should ensure they are sending mail/packages to their current off-campus address.

Information about Mail Forwarding and Change of Address using the United States Postal Service can be found on the USPS web page:  Mail Forward & Change of Address (external link).
