Associate Degree Nursing Program Admission Requirements
Traditional ADN applicants must meet all general program admission requirements including attendance at a program Information Session. Applications are due in February. Traditional applications have two (2) pre-requisite courses:
Pre-Requisite Courses Required:
COURSE NUMBER |
COURSE TITLE |
BIOL 2401 |
Anatomy & Physiology (A&P I) |
BIOL 2402 |
Anatomy & Physiology (A&P II) |
Both pre-requisite courses must be completed within 7 years of making application (For 2024 applications, no earlier than Spring 2017). Applications sent without the required pre-requisite will not be accepted. Any of the other Non-RNSG degree plan courses on the degree plan can be taken prior to entering the program or after admission.
NOTICE FOR 2024 ADMISSION TO RN PROGRAMStudents who completed BIOL 2401 and/or BIOL 2402 prior to Spring 2017 and achieved a C or better in the course(s), will have the option to complete BIOL 2404 (must achieve a C or better) to take the place of the expired course(s). |
ADN Degree Plans will be initiated upon admission to the ADN Program and will be changed if the student drops from the program. New students will be registered for the appropriate RNSG classes by ADN faculty. New students should register themselves for other required classes and, of course, select the schedule the student prefers. A calendar that details the RNSG course lecture, lab, and clinical schedules will be available to students prior to the start of the semester.
A few things to know if you are interested in applying for 2024 admission to the ADN program:
TEAS Exam: If you are interested in admission for 2024, you may take the TEAS exam twice between
March 1, 2023 and the application deadline for 2024 admissions. TEAS can be done at
any testing center that offers including online at atitesting.com. You must turn in an official score report with your application.
The Traditional ADN Program will only accept Anatomy and Physiology I & II completed with seven (7) years prior to the
application deadline.
